These are a few of my favorite things...

In loving memory of my dear sweet mother who passed away March 9th, returning peacefully to our loving Father in Heaven, I would like to post some of the things she loved in life!

1. She loved her family more than anything else! She devoted her entire life to that of her children and husband!
2. She loved Elvis! He was her hunk a hunk of burning love!
3. She loved Gone with the Wind. I think she saw a bit of Scarlett in her (the good parts, not the hussy! haha)
4. Floppy fries - she loved to get floppy fries from McDonalds. Sometimes she would specifically ask them to cook them shorter times so that they didn't get too crispy!
5. Shopping! What woman doesn't, but mom loved to look at beautiful things, and to find stuff to give others
6. She loved to give those she loved gifts! It brought her such joy to give, and she liked to do it often.
7. She loved her grandchildren, and every moment she got to spend with them.
8. She loved to sew!
9. She loved to create things, from crafts to cakes, to decorations.
10. She loved creme horns, chocolate, and cello cherries
11. She loved made from scratch soft chocolate chip cookies
12. She loved jewelry! It thrilled her to have beautiful pieces of jewelry perfectly matched to an outfit
13. She loved her mother and father, and talked to them almost everyday
14. She loved Christmas! It was her favorite time of year!
15. She loved looking at her Christmas tree in the dark with the lights glimmering.
16. She loved going to the movies! It was a ritual escape for her, whether with her mother, husband, or children...
17. She loved church!
18. She loved listening to her oldies! Music was a mutual love of her and dad, and she would fall asleep listening to her music collection everyday.
19. She loved to watch dad's band play.
20. She loved to take trips when she was able.
21. She loved visiting with her siblings and other family she didn't get to see often.
22. She loved beautiful flowers and plants, and always had them at home.

and many many more things did she love... But what made mom the beautiful person that she was, was plainly that she LOVED. She loved everyone and everything regardless. She never had a bad thing to say about some one, and was kind even when kindness was unwarranted. She is the greatest example to me of selflessness and love, and I hope to carry on even a small part of that with me and to my children.

Until we meet again mom, I love you and I miss you!
